The Seton Southwest hospital in Oak Hill is one such business, as time and distance can make a life-saving difference. In early January, the hospital made official a new expansion that will create a significant impact on the growing community, including the Travis Country West subdivision.

Mayor Lee Leffingwell, along with physicians, nurses, and other honored guests, broke ground on the $8.2 million expansion on the feast day of Saint Elizabeth Anne Seton, for whom the hospital is named.

The hospital is at the intersection of Slaughter Lane and FM 1826 in Oak Hill and currently offers a wide variety of necessary services, such as emergency care, women’s and infant services, a sleep lab, sports medicine rehabilitation services, and much more. The hospital will be adding a Level II nursery to its labor and delivery area and three additional labor beds, giving the department a total of nine beds. They also are adding the convenience of a covered drop-off area for the emergency department.

For those looking to grow their family, finding the right hospital can be critical to the overall process, and having a trusted place like Seton Southwest nearby can relieve a lot of the stress, allowing a family to focus on all of the wonderful things to come. Finding a home for a growing family near such a great hospital may seem difficult, but for those looking for a home in the beautiful Travis Country West area, the Austin real estate experts at Regent Property Group can help make it a lot easier.
